Sassy Marley is very busy as we have our very first litter of 'Bulldogs on Military' puppies. Marley couldn't wait for the planned c-section at 11am on 29 July. Panting around 1am, I was hoping she would make it until the vet opened that morning. To my surprise a little piggie popped out in Marley's basket just before 3am. Another followed... and we then headed to the vets where 5 more piggies were delivered.
Marley, a compact fawn and white pedigree British Bulldog who joined our family at eight weeks old. She's an extremely fit and healthy eight-year-old who runs, jumps and is very agile when she chooses to be! Her temperament is outstanding and belly rubs are a must. She's more than happy to go for walks and loves her time at the beach. She's definitely a very bossy, curious girl and wants everything her way. A fast learner who is leading the count in 'tug of war'! Marley has her lineage gallery with pics of her mum, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. Enjoy!
Jas ~ Our Gentle Soul (2017–2025) Jas, a pedigree Mini–Australian Bulldog, had a challenging start to life. As a pup, she was attacked by another dog, leaving her blind in her left eye. Though she longed to be a mum, it wasn’t meant to be. She carried nine beautiful puppies, but sadly, they were all born sleeping. After a phantom pregnancy the following year, her breeder compassionately chose to have her spayed to protect her wellbeing. When I met Jas, she had just arrived at her new home. Although her owners were kind, they were new to dog ownership and could see the sadness she still carried. I knew she needed purpose and companionship, so she joined our family to help nurture future puppies and to be a friend for Marley. Over the past five years, Jas truly came into her own. She spent her days with our son Corey at his barber shop, soaking up cuddles and attention. Her kind nature, gentle heart, and relaxed personality made her such a special part of our world. She had a quiet wisdom and a calming presence — always ready with love and affection. Jas crossed the rainbow bridge in 2025, leaving an enormous paw print on our hearts. Her calm spirit, quiet grace, and unwavering love will always be with us. Though she may no longer be by our side, she will forever be part of Salty Paws — and remembered as the dignified lady she was.
'If you're lucky a bulldog will come into your life, steal your heart and change everything forever' T-Bone ~ Max ~ Toffee ~ Jas. T-Bone (Maxcliff Red Rogue) started my love of the breed which continues to this day. Toffee - a beautiful and gentle girl I bought from a rescue in country South Australia. Such a loving girl with a very warm heart. We all miss her dearly.
